Flower House is an art installation featuring American-grown, fresh flowers and living plants, filling a 15-room abandoned, Detroit house with designs created by innovative floral designers both local and nationwide.
The breathtaking exhibition will last only three days, and will welcome neighbors, Detroiters and visitors from across the world.
After the installation weekend, the house will be responsibly deconstructed, with salvageable materials reclaimed for reuse in other projects around the city.
When the demolition is complete, the land will be prepared and planted as a flower farm for Flower House creator Lisa Waud’s floral design business, Pot & Box.
To ensure as many people as possible experience Flower House, we've chosen a timed ticketing system. You will be in a small group exploring the installation for 20 minutes. Please plan to arrive least 30 minutes prior to your ticket time to allow for parking, registration, and to enjoy local food trucks and the Flower House courtyard.
LIABILITY AND PHOTOGRAPH RELEASE WAIVER AGREEMENT
WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY. By entering the Flower House, Guest agrees to WAIVE, RELEASE
AND HOLD HARMLESS Flower House, its officers, directors, employees, agents and volunteers (the
"Releases"), from any claim, demand, loss, liability, injury, damages or attorney fees or costs
whatsoever, arising from, related to or resulting from the Guest's entrance into the Flower House,
including those caused by the negligent acts or omissions of any or all of the Releases to the fullest
extent permitted by law.
PHOTOGRAPH RELEASE. Guest understands that photographs and recordings of the Flower House and
the Flower House event will be taken and that the Guest may be photographed during his or her
attendance. Guest grants permission to the Releases to take photographs, record the Guest's voice,
silhouette and other productions of the Guest's physical likeness and sound. Guest grants Releases
permission for the unlimited distribution, promotion, exhibition and exploitation of those photographs,
video or recordings taken in connection with the Flower House by any method or device. Guest also
waives and releases any and all claims, demands, liabilities, actions, causes of action(s) and expenses
whatsoever, against the Releases which the Guest has or may have arising out of the use of those
recordings, in whatever manner, including those based upon theories of invasion of privacy, rights of
publicity or copyright interests or for any other reason in connection with the authorized use of the
Guest's physical likeness as herein provided. Guest acknowledges that he or she will not be
compensated for the use of his or her physical likeness and hereby waives any such rights.
